Brief Summary of Episode #76
COVID-19 taught us all to be agile, nimble, and pivot on a dime, right?
But when it comes to digital transformation, you need to be ready for more than a sprint.
Digital transformation is a marathon.
That’s one of the key insights Hunter Young has learned as Founder & President at HIFI Agency. He joins the show to share the lessons he’s learned from COVID-19 and how you can use them to transform your financial brand.
One of the biggest lessons is something I’ve been saying for a while:
Transformation is not technology, it’s a mindset.
For example: Oftentimes, financial brands — especially traditional banks — will offload the internet projects to the youngest members on the team, assuming them to be tech-savvy.
But this stereotype doesn’t hold and often it’s actually hurting you.
Culture, like all transformation, isn’t something we fix overnight — so, if we want to succeed, it’s vital we know what we mean.
I define culture as:
The result of alignment around a shared purpose, further unified by common values that spreads throughout all departments in the organization, resulting in either a positive or a negative emotion for both internal and external stakeholders.
How do you define it?
