Brief Summary of Episode #62

Is there room for love when it comes to banking?

While that may seem like a silly question, pause and think about it.

It may seem on the surface that love and feelings and emotion probably don’t have much of a space in commercial banking.

But what if unconditional love and mutual respect were at the heart of everything you did as a bank?

What would it look like to not only make sure that your customers know that you care about them, but that your employees know that their experience is just as important, if not more so, than the customer’s?

Kerry-Ann Betton Stimpson was on the podcast recently and put it very simply.

You can’t win without your people.

And if your people aren’t empowered to be able to deliver that love and experience to the customer, then all your talk about respect and love is useless.

So while it may seem too fuzzy and touchy-feely for the business world, maybe it’s time to put love and respect back at the heart of everything that we do.
