Banking on Digital Growth Podcast

Three Exponential Growth Insights (With James Carbary)

Apple Podcasts          Spotify           Google Podcasts

Brief Summary of Episode #46

I'm driven by purpose. I want to add soul to my work. How can I create and distribute content that matters to people?

For me, the answer lay in starting a podcast.

A successful podcast means more than generating impressive download numbers.

It means creating an incredible experience for the guests I feature on my podcast — or for that matter, my video series or the blog articles I'm going to write with somebody.

Then, I want to create incredible content for the consumer.

Finally, I work hard to build a long-lasting relationship with the person I've invited on the show.

Each of those goals requires its own process. Here's mine:

  • I prep my guests pre-interview so they feel comfortable and prepared for the show.
  • During the interview, I ask questions that will create helpful, consumer-oriented content.
  • After the recording, I continue to collaborate with my guests in order to deepen our friendship so we can help each other more.

That's a repeatable process you can use to build and bolster friendship after friendship.

In this episode of Banking on Digital Growth, I talked with  James Carbary, founder of Sweet Fish Media, about how to create purpose-driven digital experiences that foster relationships.
